In practice

What happens during the class

  • Every session follows the same rhythm: a recap, a demonstration by the teacher, then hands-on practice by the student.
  • We work in Logic Pro, the software used throughout the programme.
  • Each level ends with a project: a simple production first, a complete track later on.
  • We learn to finish what we start — the hardest part, and what sets a producer apart.
The progression

The path, level by level

6 levels, from the very first contact with the instrument to playing independently in a band. Each level runs 12 one-hour sessions.

01Beginner 1Logic Pro basics

The student discovers how a virtual studio works and the Logic Pro interface.

They gradually learn to create a simple production from start to finish.

02Beginner 2Creation and workflow

The student works on MIDI and audio tools, and editing.

They gradually learn to build a complete two-to-three-minute track.

03Intermediate 1Modern production

The student works on current production techniques and vocal treatment.

They gradually learn to develop a sound of their own.

04Intermediate 2Mixing

The student discovers EQ, compression, depth and space.

They gradually learn to mix a multitrack production.

05Advanced 1Professional production

The student works on modern vocal mixing and automation.

They gradually learn to take a track from idea to pre-master.

06Advanced 2Finishing and delivery

The student works on finishing, loudness and exporting versions and stems.

They gradually learn to work with an artist or a client and to deliver a professional production.

This path outlines the planned learning at each level. The starting level and schedule are settled at enrolment.See the frequently asked questions ↓

The Viva Sound experience

Learn and play together

We play together

From the first sessions we play as a group: listening to others, holding your part, coming in and out at the right time.

Serving the song

Our teaching is rooted in gospel and worship. Students learn to accompany a voice, not just to play notes.

An end-of-level review

The program includes an assessment or a final project, depending on the discipline.

Frequently asked

The questions people ask us

Do you need to play an instrument?

No. The path starts by discovering the software. Playing helps, but many producers write straight into the computer.

How do we choose the starting level?

On the enrolment form, you state the student’s level. Someone who has never played starts at the first level. If they already play, write to us before enrolling and we will work out the right group together.

What is my group’s schedule?

Classes are on Mondays. This group’s schedule is not set yet for this session: write to us and we will confirm it before the first class.

What happens after I enroll?

You receive a confirmation email summarising your enrolment. We then get back to you with the practical details — group, day and time — before your first class.
